Alice Darksin is being published on both Tapas and Line Webtoon! Both have a mature warning due to the violence but be sure to check it out & tell me what you think!

Honestly, I would put it on here but NewGrounds doesn't seem to have an easy way to navigate through webcomics. If they added a folder option for art or an easy way to publish webcomics on here I would totally publish it here as well!

It's 2020, which marks the 10 year anniversary of one of my favorite characters I've ever made. Tug the Penguin. It all began with this video released on a now dead channel called jetray103 called "Mr. Tuggles time in the spotlight" released on June 26th, 2010. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO2qBdA1ayI

To celebrate I'll be doing quite a bit of content revolving around Tug and his friends.

  1. A compilation of Tug's older videos from 2010-2018 in the first "JETRAY Archive" only on YouTube
  2. Season 2 of "Tug & Friends" with 8 episodes each being around 10 minutes long also only on YouTube
  3. A collection of short "Tug Toons" to be made on both NewGrounds and YouTube
  4. And a few other surprises!

Also since it's Tug's 10 Year Anniversary this year I've decided to release a new design on my TeePublic store to celebrate. There are already 2 other designs featuring Tug as well and 19 in total. Most available in all products!

A lot of this stuff is still early in production and I have a lot of other projects to work on like "Shade of the Eclipse", "Alice Darksin" and other projects I can't bring up yet.

Because of this I must say for those who enjoy watching my documentaries and Top lists on YouTube. Those videos will mainly be set to once a month. The next Top list will be on February with the "Top 10 Games Screwed out of Success" then in March will be the first Grotesque Brain Documentary!

Well, I still have a lot of work to do so I'll see you guys soon!

As of right now I am in production of an ambitious animated short that's been in production since early September. And it looks like it'll be finally ready by the end of 2019. It won't be like anything else I've made. Taking all of the criticisms I've taken and make something even better than Spaghetti Wars or BuNNy (not like it would be hard to top those anyway) NONE THE LESS! Shade of the Eclipse will come out on NEW YEARS EVE!!

You ever feel like that you don't post enough online? I feel like I don't do enough for NG despite the fact I have 3 movies, almost 50 pieces of art and 2 new animations coming soon. Maybe it's because sites like YouTube and Twitter brainwashed me into thinking that if I'm not posting every day that I'll be doomed to be forgotten. Feels bad man. Anyone relate?

Alright, with "MARIO says a BAD WORD!!" out I'd like to talk about what I'm doing as of now and my future plans. Alright? OK!

So, I'm trying to get my life together both health wise and financially. It's been difficult since the 2 are clashing in a way. BUT, I'm not quitting this fight any time soon! As for my plans involving art and animation.

  1. YouTube has been basically falling apart, so a lot of my focus will go to NewGrounds, Art/Comics and my Passion projects like "Tug & Friends" which is a series I can't put here since it's completely live-action and I don't think that would be allowed. This also includes my other live action comedy skits like "YELLING" and "Normal Horse goes for a Stroll"
  2. I plan to release not 1 but 2 Halloween themed shorts in October. The first is going to be my submission for the NewGrounds Spooktacular Contest and the 2nd is hopefully going to be in a YouTube related showcasing but will be released here after that showcase is revealed.
  3. I want to finally get started on "BAD IDEA CAT!" A project I've been wanting to do for a while
  4. "Night of the Coal Monster" is a Christmas themed one-shot 37 page webcomic coming in November. It's almost half-way done but I want to finish it when there's nothing else in the way. I also plan to make a slightly animated/narrated version of the short though I'm not sure if it would be allowed to release on to NG as it may be dangerously close to looking like a slide show.
  5. I want to do mini 10 second animations to show off characters for a 2020 webcomic after the Halloween stuff is done. More news on that later
  6. Speaking of "Tug & Friends" the next episode is going to feature a bit of animation so it may very well be the first episode to come on NG. though the Very FIRST episode of "Tug & Friends" also features a tiny bit of animation but I'd like to ask some higher ups if that would be allowed to upload on here first. so 2 episodes might come in on the same day. Who knows? Only time will tell I guess.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Have any questions or concerns then please don't be afraid to tell me!

I went from considering to delay "Spaghetti Wars" to finishing it overnight! Spaghetti Wars is still coming on the 30th.

Also I have some good news! I have just opened a store on Teepublic.com ! Teepublic is a website where artists can put their work on stuff like T-Shirts, hoodies, mugs, pins, stickers, ect. Not only will you be wearing something drawn by me but you'll also be supporting Cackling Pumpkins directly!

Here's a link to my storefront: https://www.teepublic.com/user/cacklingpumpkins

Due to how much is left of Spaghetti Wars I'm not 100% certain the short will come out on the 30th. Worst case scenario the short gets delayed to next week and I will instead upload a Halloween Comedy Skit meant for September early on YouTube. Since it's mainly live action the short may not be posted on Newgrounds but I will post art from it with a link in it's description so you can find it when it does come out. That might be how I connect my live action stuff on Newgrounds without completely uploading it.

Holy FRICK! Why did I never discover Krita before until today?! For those who don't know Krita is a free frame by frame animation/illustration software available for download. I haven't used it yet but I plan to tomorrow with some small test animations. So this will technically be my first time actually animating. For a bit of context; I made BuNNy by creating each image in GIMP and placed them in a video editing software called Magix Movie Edit Pro which I have used since 2011. Hence why I was able to make "animation" on it. I know Magix off of the back of my hand at this point and I'm still learning new things.

As for "Spaghetti Wars" that is being made a similar way to BuNNy so it may lack a good amount of mouth movement. That's not to say it will be exactly like BuNNy. Each character will be in different poses, positions and camera angles (which is why it's taking so long to complete). But it should still be done by the 30th! At least I hope so. Wish me luck!

I honestly regret not discovering Newgrounds as a kid. I was on the internet all the time around 2008 when YouTube was just starting to get big. I completely missed out on over a decade of being a part of this community. Well, it's not too late to start (unless the world randomly explodes within the next 28 seconds then maybe it would be)

I intend to become a lot more active on this site by not only posting art but also start uploading animations and live-action/animated hybrids, like BuNNy, more often. Don't get me wrong I'll still do what I do on YouTube as I do intend to make a comeback on that site on the 5th but I also want to make NG a big part of my life.

Newgrounds is such an important part of the creative community on the internet that gets severely overshadowed thanks to sites like YouTube and it would be a shame to see it go away.

Now to announce a few things...

  1. On August 30th I'm uploading an animated live action hybrid called "Spaghetti Wars" on both YouTube and Newgrounds
  2. During the Halloween season I also would like to create a short called "Schizo-Freak" which is also a live action animated hybrid. But as a NewGrounds exclusive considering it's subject matter might be a bit too touchy for YouTube. But YouTube will get some of it's own completely live-action content though.
  3. A new (possible) series. By the end of the year I would like to get started on a fully animated project called "Bad Idea Cat" that may become a series if it gets the right amount of traction.

I hope to build a good relationship with this community and to open more opportunities to grow in the future. Thanks for reading and I'll see you around!
